Il workshop è rivolto a tutti: disegnatori, professionisti, studenti, amanti delle lettere, semplici curiosi o chiunque nutra interesse verso la calligrafia, sia come mezzo artistico che come elemento grafico per completare o arricchire un lavoro editoriale o pubblicitario.
The workshop is aimed at everyone: designers, professionals, students, graphic designers, tattoo artists, letter lovers, just curious people or anyone interested in calligraphy, both as an artistic medium and as a graphic element to complete or enrich an editorial or advertising work.

• ARGOMENTO/TOPIC: BRUSHPEN WORKSHOP – Italico a Brushpen for Beginners
Il workshop inizierà con l’introduzione alle forme dello stile ITALICO, il nostro corsivo.
Partendo dai tratti a matita, capiremo la costruzione, l’ossatura delle lettere e il loro ritmo, successivamente applicheremo queste nozioni alla Brushpen: il pennarello con punta a pennello.
The workshop will begin with an introduction to the forms of the ITALIC style, our italics. Starting from the pencil strokes, we will understand the construction, the bones of the letters and their rhythm, then we will apply these notions to the Brushpen: the felt-tip pen with a brush tip.

• THE TEACHER:
Sono un creativo ma alla gente dico che sono un grafico, un designer di scarpe, appassionato di calligrafia, di graffiti e del mondo delle lettere in generale.
Uso la calligrafia nel mio lavoro quotidiano per la Brand Identity, la pubblicità e la comunicazione. Il mio approccio alla calligrafia si basa sul Design: le lettere sono oggetti con un mix equilibrato tra bellezza e funzionalità. Insegno calligrafia e design di scarpe a scuola e credo che la calligrafia sia qualcosa che tutti devono provare perché fa intimamente parte delle nostre radici.
I’m a Graphic Designer, a Shoes Designer, Calligraphy Enthusiast, Graffiti Writer and Letter Lover. I’m the owner of CalligraphyItalia, the largest Calligraphy Community online in Italy.I use calligraphy in my daily work for Brand Identity, advertising and communication. My approach to calligraphy is based on Design: Letters are objects with a balanced mix between beauty and functionality. I teach Calligraphy and Shoes Design at school and I believe that Calligraphy is something that everybody have to try because it’s part of our roots.
